This seals it. I'm not counting the past UT players, just players that date back to my first day as a UT student as of 1996.
Vince Young is the BEST player to ever step onto the field.

Under mack brown the are 1-14 versus teams that are top 5 ranked. That means OSU is the best team Mack has defeated and at their house.
I told richard, "this is the biggest game in my short history with the longhorns. with OU out of the top 5, this will be THE game of the regular season"

Texas were national champions 1963, 1969, and 1970.
If you remember John Mackovic, man we stunk under him. David McWilliams ('87-91) was a shorter stay cause he sucked harder. Not since Fred Akers (1977-86) has our team been a threat to contend as he was able to finish a coule time ranked < 5th place.
Mack Brown (took over 1998) so that means we actually had losing season until Mack took over. We are back and even with questionable offensive play calling, I can live with it as long as we can contend with the big boys.

So to look back in history. Unless you want to revive Fred Akers or Mr. Royal, Mack has put back life into a program that has sucked huge since David McWilliams took over. I just love texas football and Mr. Legend has given us hope to make a run for the championship.

2 keys that Vince Young has arrived
1) He threw a dart on 3rd down to a out route while getting hit in the pocket. This shows poise under pressure and the arm to deliver a pass in such a small window. I don't think michael vick could have made that play.
2) Did you see he had 20 carries? I think he ran out on 1 of those 20 so he was tackled 19 times plus his sacks. That is a lot of hits and did you see that his longhorn sticker was messed up cause they OSU kept hitting him in the helmet. All that leads to the fact he must be dead tired but still had the go ahead winning touchdown pass over 2 defenders.

If Michael Vick is a 100million dollar man, Vince Young must be very close to him cause I think Young looks better at this stage in his career.

With huge wins all carried by Vince Young (OSU, Kansas, Michagan...) all texas fans need to support him and not worry about OU. After losing to OU so much I'm actually numb from it. and beating them they would just say "oh, we aren't a top 5 team so you can beat our rebuilding squad". I would rather have this OSU win than an OU win this year.

The OSU wins on the road was covered by more media, and was against the #2 and #4 ranked teams. We can't get that now with OU cause they already lost.

Sorry for the rant, but all longhorns should show support. I don't like the WR slip screen, but Greg Davis did have enough to beat one of the best defenses in the country on the road.
